Mount Yonah Voting Precinct 

City Of Cleveland Early Voting:  All voters residing in the city of Cleveland vote in the Mount Yonah Precinct.  Early Voting for The Mount Yonah Precinct will be held at The Mauney Building, located at 1241 Helen Highway, Cleveland, Georgia 30528.

City Of Cleveland Voting On Election Day:  Election Day Voting in 2025 for the City of Cleveland will be held at The Bridge Church, located at 607 Hulsey Rd Cleveland, Georgia 30528.

City Elections

The City of Cleveland holds elections in odd numbered years. The election years for the Mayor and Council are staggered and held every two years. The seats for Mayor and Council District 1 and District 2 have the same election year. Council District 3 and  District 4 would be elected two years later.

The Mayor and City Council serve four-year terms. Although, each Council Member represents a District (area), the citizens of Cleveland are able to vote at-large for each member sitting on the Council.

General municipal elections are typically held on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-541.2(4).

A candidate must receive a majority (50% + 1) of the votes in order to be elected to office.

The municipal superintendent shall be a person or committee selected by the governing authority of the municipality. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-70.1(b). A municipality may appoint someone, such as the city clerk, to serve as the election superintendent.
