Chief Jeff Shoemaker

Mr. Jeff Shoemaker has served as the Chief of Police for the City of Cleveland, Georgia since 2021. Working for the citizens of Cleveland and serving with the members of the Cleveland Police Department has been his most rewarding experience.

The agency has developed a strong relationship with the stakeholders of public and private sectors alike to deliver community-led policing. These relationships have increased the effectiveness of the agency and promoted the image of integrity, service, professionalism, and transparency. 

He is a graduate of the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and received his master’s degree in public safety administration from Columbus State University and a bachelors’ degree from Liberty University.  He attended the 19-57 session of the Georgia Chiefs of Police Executive Training Class in 2019 and graduated from the 275th Session of the F.B.I. National Academy.
